England's World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan will return to his native country as he is set to represent Dublin Chiefs as their icon player in the inaugural edition of Euro T20 Slam. The T20 League will feature 6 teams from Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland and will be played between August 30 and September 22.
The players draft for the inaugural edition was held at London's Heathrow Airport on Friday. Several big names in international cricket, inclduing Eoin Morgan, Shahid Afridi, Rashid Khan, Babar Azam, Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum.
A total of 33 matches, including the final will be played in Euro T20 Slam. Each team was allowed ot pick an icon and a marquee player. 5 to 7 overseas players can be picked by each teams and the league will see 9 "local" players per team.

Amsterdam Knights, Belfast Titans, Dublin Chiefs, Edinburgh Rocks, Glasgow Giants, Rotterdam Rhinos
While Dublin Chiefs and Belfast Titans will play their home games in Dublin, Amsterdam Knights and Rotterdam Rhinos will play their home matches in Amsterdam and Edinburgh Rocks and Glasgow Giants will be based out of Edinburgh.
Australia's two-time ICC Cricket World Cup winner Shane Watson will join Imran Tahir at the AMSTERDAM KNIGHTS, while Ben Cutting and Ahmad Shahzad were the early signings for the franchise. West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph joins an exciting panel which includes all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe who heads a strong local contingent for the Knights, which also includes the vastly experienced Wesley Barresi.
Ireland T20 captain Gary Wilson and powerful top order batsman Paul Stirling have been joined in an exciting BELFAST TITANS panel by Pakistan's Shahid Afridi who is set to link up with the Titans having previously represented Ireland as a guest player back in 2006. Proteas' batting all-rounder JP Duminy, with 81 T20 Internationals to his name, is featured alongside a host of local talent including the powerful Mark Adair and experienced bowler Boyd Rankin. Pakistan's Muhammad Nawaz was the opening selection of the draft pick proper and the squad has also been bolstered by England international Luke Wright. Black Caps duo Colin Ingram and Mitch McClenaghan will also feature.
Pakistan batting sensation Babar Azam, a main light in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup, will arrange for the DUBLIN CHIEFS close by Eoin Morgan and a large group of Leinster and Ireland internationals. Among the drafted players is enormous hitting all-rounder Kevin O'Brien who participates in-structure batsman Andrew Balbirnie, left-arm spinner George Dockrell and the energizing wicketkeeper-batsman Lorcan Tucker. Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Amir was the first round pick and was trailed by England bowler Harry Gurney.
Scotland batsman Kyle Coetzer has marked for the EDINBURGH ROCKS whose fans will be guaranteed of some enormous hitting in advance after the enlistment of Black Caps opening batsman Martin Guptill and the dynamic Australian Chris Lynn, another star of the T20 circuit. Guptill will be joined by individual Black Caps players, all-rounders Corey Anderson and Matt Henry.
GLASGOW GIANTS have been helped by the enlistment of the gigantically regarded previous New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum who is joined by Proteas pace bowler Dale Steyn. Britain all-rounder Ravi Bopara, Pakistan's Usman Shinwari and the capable Moises Henriques were the right on time round choices.
